Chief Executive

Jeanette previously managed Tony Blair's Sedgefield constituency office.

When Tony Blair stepped down as MP for Sedgefield Jeanette was asked to set up the Tony Blair Sports Foundation and became Chief Executive of the Foundation in November 2007. As CE Jeanette is responsible for the overall organisational management, strategic development and delivery of the core business of the Foundation.

Jeanette has always been involved in community issues having represented many residents and organisations in her time as a local Councillor. In the past, Jeanette has volunteered as a School Governor and has helped organise many fundraising events for local community groups.

Jeanette has a keen interest in sport and has gained significant exposure to community sports organisations and coaching structures through her own participation and that of her family.

Sarah Fanning
Operations Manager

Sarah graduated from Coventry University with a Leisure Management degree and has held a variety of management roles in which she has had success in co-ordinating and strengthening the growth of start up businesses.

Sarah joined the Foundation 7 months after its launch and has played a central role in co-ordinating the coaching programmes for TBSF volunteers. Sarah became Operations Manager in November 2009 and oversees the day to day running of a busy office as well as liaising with the Sports Governing bodies to provide a comprehensive programme of courses to members.

Sarah enjoys travelling and after finishing University, travelled the world visiting some famous sites and attractions. Sarah lives in Darlington with her partner and two border collies.

Judith Horey
Administration and Finance Officer

Judith joined the Tony Blair Sport Foundation in June 2010 to cover Sarah's maternity leave as their Administration and Finance Officer. She has an in depth knowledge of Sport Administration gained at Newcastle United Football Club, where she was employed from 1995 – 2005 as PA to Kenny Dalglish, Ruud Gullit, Sir Bobby Robson and Graeme Souness.

Judith left Newcastle United in 2005 to work for Sir Bobby Robson, as his Personal Assistant, until his sad death in July 2009 and is very proud to have been involved in setting up the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation in 2007.

Judith has a keen interest in sport and health related issues connected to young people especially where a charitable element is involved.

Arlene Ainsley
Membership Recruitment and Development Manager

Arlene Ainsley became the Membership Recruitment and Development Manager in June 2010.

Arlene has almost 25 years experience in the voluntary and statutory sector working with volunteers and was a councillor for over 10 years. She has recently worked in social marketing and communications.

Arlene has been a school governor for over 20 years and is currently Chair of Governors of a large primary school.

When not at work Arlene enjoys spending time with family and friends and working in her garden.
