North of Tyne Athletics Network Job Vacancy

The North of Tyne Athletics Network (NOTAN) has recently been successful in securing funding for the next 3 years from England Athletics. The new network has been created in partnership with Tyne and Wear Sport, The Tony Blair Sports Foundation, North Tyneside Council and Northumbria University to develop the sport of athletics and deliver some key objectives which include:

· Increasing the number of people involved with running and athletics

· Improving the quantity and quality of coaches at all levels

· Improve the infrastructure within clubs; including the number of active volunteers

· Improve access to appropriate competition for young athletes.

To assist NOTAN in delivering the above objectives and drive athletics forward an exciting new position of Network Coordinator has been created. The successful candidate will be passionate about athletics, have good leadership, communication and organisational skills as well as a good working knowledge of sports development and partnership working.

The position we are filling is exempt from the provisions of the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act and an enhanced CRB disclosure from the Criminal Records Bureau is required as part of our clearance procedures.
