Tony Blair urges ‘Amalthea’ aid ship to transfer its goods to Gaza through establish

Commenting on the ‘Amalthea’ aid ship, Quartet Representative Tony Blair said:

"The most important thing is to avoid confrontation which is why the established channels for delivering aid to Gaza should be used in accordance with the new policy we have been working on.

“I would therefore reinforce the American administration’s message yesterday urging those who seek to deliver goods to Gaza to do so through the routes agreed upon in the last few weeks.

“These goods should be allowed to reach Gaza through established channels and transferred through the Kerem Shalom crossing, which is available for the transfer of items for daily life and reconstruction efforts, as we work to expand the crossing capacity.

“I sincerely hope that the transfer of goods will pass off without incident, and urge all sides to act with restraint."
